When approached by a client in the medical industry in Fredericksburg, Virginia to make a better functioning knee replacement component palleting system, we at Imperial Carbide knew that our expertise and capabilities in CNC turning and milling would be perfect for the job.
Applying CNC turning and milling to RC 60-62 A2 tool steel, we produced a knee replacement component palleting system that met the client’s specifications: the arbor measured 1.250” diameter x 13.386” long and weighed 4.75 lbs, while the pallet body measured 1.772”x 2.126”x 3.189” and weighed 3.5 lbs. Throughout manufacturing, we held a tightest tolerance of ±.0001”.
Upholding our high-quality standards, we were able to produce several of these palleting system units in a 6-week turnaround time, and our client knew that they had made the right decision by coming to Imperial Carbide.
